2 Day Hands On Kitchen Fitting Worktop course = £375 inc vat

This course runs for two days, Wednesday and Thursday.

The aim of the 2-day worktop course will be to fit a worktop professionally. You will use a router and worktop jig to create the worktop ‘masons mitre’ fitment into a corner area. You will also cut out for a kitchen sink and fit the kitchen sink. • Router
• Worktop Jig
• Circular saw
• Jigsaw
• Square
• Clamps
• And other joiners tools to create a professional finish.

You will use professional kitchen fitting tools form jig saws, circular saws and routers. You will be shown every aspect of setting up each tool along with handy tips along the way on how to use the tools for different materials.

You will use a router and jig to complete the corner joint ‘masons mitre’ to create the professional finish. Cutting worktops to size and adding the finishing touches will also be included in the 2-day worktop course.

The worktop course will also incorporate cutting out for a kitchen sink and hob. The course is run with only a couple of students every week to allow for plenty of guidance and tips throughout.

This is our 5 day Intensive introductory kitchen fitting course, you will fit a full corner kitchen with base and wall units, plinths, worktops, sink and hob.

You will learn how to design a kitchen to the room provided and what types of cupboards and units are available to suit a variety of designs to suit a customers specification. Base units will need to be levelled and planned to a design along with hanging the wall units and fitting the extractor hood. You will use professional kitchen fitting tools form jig saws, circular saws and routers. You will be shown every aspect of setting up each tool along with handy tips along the way on how to use the tools for different materials.

To create a professional finish with the worktop joint you will have plenty of practice with the router in fact nearly 3 days are basically spent teaching you the skills of routering and how to set such a machine up properly and complete the kitchen worktop ‘masons mitre’ corner joint. We have a few worktops per student to work through and you we aim to have you complete at least 2 or 3 joints by yourself before being let loose on your full length worktop for the kitchen you have installed.

You will set your kitchen installation out to accommodate a cooker hob and a kitchen sink so the worktop will require cutting out to accommodate them.

The fitted kitchen will include the detailed tips such as shaping end panels around skirting board profiles, fitting plinths and cornice, building units, fitting of cupboards including doors and handles, finishing off cut worktop ends plus how to use a the profession tools and kitchen fitting jigs.

The 5 Kitchen fitting course is aimed at you leaving us armed with the knowledge and skills to at the very least fit your own kitchen but many of our past students have on to fit kitchens professionally and tie in the skills along with their other trades such as tiling, plastering, plumbing, carpentry and joinery.

The course cost is £825 including vat.
