NVQ Level 2 Assessments – 2 options available. EWPA & OSAT
To be classed as a fully skilled worker in your trade in the eyes of the CSCS card scheme you must hold your NVQ level 2 in your trade. This can be gained by either OSAT (On Site Assessment & Training) or EWPA (Experienced Worker Practical Assessment).
The EWPA is you coming to our Centre (Bradford, West Yorkshire) and completing a 1 to 2 day assessment pre-set by the NOCN Cskills awarding body. To undertake the EWPA you must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
NVQ Level 2 EWPA – Experienced Worker Practical Assessment
(1 to 2 days at YTA) – You must have a minimum of 5 years trade experience
The OSAT is when our assessor visits you in your workplace (on-site or in domestic projects) and builds a portfolio of evidence so you can achieve the NVQ level 2 over several weeks. To undertake the OSAT you must have approximately 3 years’ experience.
NVQ Level 2 OSAT – On Site Assessments
(Site / Domestic Visits) – You must have a minimum of 3 years trade experience
Once you hold the NVQ level 2 along with your health and safety CSCS card test you can gain your blue skilled worker ‘skilled worker’ CSCS card. Once you have the NVQ level 2 your CSCS card will be upgraded to a blue card (skilled worker) and this means you can now work on any site completing your trade. We offer the following NVQ’s, Tiling NVQ Level 2, Plastering NVQ Level 2, Bricklaying NVQ Level 2, Carpentry & Joinery NVQ Level 2.
