Its been a busy couple of months, here’s a small selection of photos taken at various moments around the training centre during June and July. Courses range from tiling, plastering, plumbing, carpentry & joinery, kitchen fitting and bricklaying. NVQ level 2 and level 1 certificates are available for most trades.

Rob has just completed the 10 day intensive plastering course and looking at his review he thoroughly enjoyed his time at YTA and will be back to book more courses! We always strive to help all our students achieve the most from their time at YTA but we can also have some fun along the way which makes it much more enjoyable to learn for most us.

An intensive hands on plastering course suitable for all trades-persons looking to add more skills. Or a complete beginner looking for a life change. No previous experience is needed.

The carpentry and joinery course runs for 10 days Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm with a maximum of 4 adult students per week. This 10 day intensive ‘hands on practical’ course is ideal if you are wanting to start a career in carpentry and joinery and eventually move on to gain your Cskills NVQ level 2 Certificate in Site Carpentry. Also a very busy month helping experienced workers gain their NVQ level 2 qualifications in tiling, plastering, site carpentry and bricklaying through both the EWPA and OSAT NVQ routes.

During April we ran 5 and 10 day courses in tiling, plastering, bricklaying, kitchen fitting, plumbing, carpentry and joinery. We also did NVQ level 2 assessments on weekends to help experienced tradesmen gain their recognised qualifications to get back on site with a blue skilled worker CSCS card.
