Five Weeks of Trade Training for the Price of Four

You might be ready for a different working life. Perhaps you want the independence of working for yourself, the satisfaction of completing a renovation, or the confidence to offer customers a wider range of practical skills.

Our five-weeks-for-four trade course offer gives you an extra week to work towards that goal. Book and pay for four weeks of eligible training at YTA, then choose a fifth five-day course free of charge, worth £750. Kitchen fitting can be included with a £75 supplement.

Build your programme around plumbing, tiling, plastering, carpentry and joinery, or kitchen fitting. Choose the available dates that suit you, with practical training at our centre in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

Your saving

£750
One standard five-day course free when you book and pay for four weeks.

What Could Another Week of Training Help You Do?

When you look at a property project, the trades quickly connect. New bathroom fittings can mean moving pipework, repairing walls and laying tiles. A kitchen installation can involve units, worktops, plumbing connections and finishing work.

Learning complementary skills can help you take responsibility for more of those jobs. You gain a better understanding of how the work fits together and a practical foundation you can keep developing through experience.

You may want to build towards self-employment, add services to an existing business, or take on improvements to your own properties. The bonus week gives you more workshop time to practise, ask questions and develop another useful skill.

How the Five-Weeks-for-Four Offer Works

Choose four paid weeks of training, then contact YTA to arrange your additional five-day course. You can build the paid part of your programme in several ways:

  • Four five-day courses: learn four trades, with a full week in each.
  • Two ten-day courses: spend two weeks developing each of two trades.
  • One ten-day course and two five-day courses: combine deeper training in one trade with two complementary skills.

Each combination gives you 20 paid training days. With the free week, that becomes 25 training days. A ten-day course counts as two weeks, so you do not need four separate course items in your cart.

Your weeks can run consecutively where dates are available, or you can spread them around your commitments within the six-month offer period. Advanced training should follow the relevant foundation training.

Choose the Trade Courses for Your Programme

Follow the links below to see the content and availability for each course. Course dates and Add to Cart options are at the bottom of each individual course page.

Example Packages: See Your Saving

Bathroom Fitting: Plumbing, Tiling and Plastering

If you want to work towards offering a bathroom replacement service, this programme brings together three closely connected trades:

  • 10 Day Plumbing Course: £1,500.
  • 10 Day Tiling Course: £1,500.
  • 5 Day Plastering Course: FREE, usually £750.

Usual combined price: £3,750. Offer price: £3,000 including VAT. Save £750.

The ten-day plumbing and tiling routes give you time for more involved work, including radiator alterations, gravity-fed hot water systems, sloping wet room floor tiling and decorative features. The plastering week adds useful preparation and repair skills.

Property Maintenance: Four Trades and an Extra Week to Develop

Book five days each in plumbing, tiling, plastering and carpentry and joinery. Then use your free week for suitable advanced training in a trade you have studied.

For example, after completing the foundation plumbing week, you could request the 5 Day Advanced Plumbing Course as your bonus week.

Usual combined price: £3,750. Offer price: £3,000 including VAT. Save £750.

Explore the 4 Week Multi-Skill Course for more help building a programme around the services you want to offer.

Carpentry, Plastering and Kitchen Fitting

  • 10 Day Carpentry and Joinery Course: £1,500.
  • 10 Day Plastering Course: £1,500.
  • 5 Day Kitchen Fitting Course: £825, with £750 covered by the offer. You pay the £75 supplement.

Usual combined price: £3,825. Offer price: £3,075 including VAT. Save £750.

This combination connects timber work, preparing and finishing rooms, and kitchen installation. It can be a useful direction for people interested in renovation and home improvement work.

How Kitchen Fitting Fits into the Offer

Kitchen fitting costs £825 for five days. A standard five-day trade course costs £750, so the difference is £75.

  • Choose kitchen fitting as a paid week: book it at £825 alongside three standard £750 weeks. Your paid courses total £3,075, and you can then arrange a standard fifth week free. The £75 difference is already included in the £825 course price.
  • Choose kitchen fitting as your bonus week: pay £3,000 for four standard weeks, then contact YTA to arrange the kitchen fitting week and its £75 supplement. Your total is £3,075.

Both examples give you five weeks including kitchen fitting and a £750 saving. Optional Level 1 upgrades are additional.

Add Level 1 to Your Ten-Day Courses

If you want recognised evidence of assessed skills alongside your practical training, choose the relevant Level 1 route for an additional £400 including VAT per ten-day trade.

Level 1 students undertake formal assessments. The qualification or unit accreditation awarded depends on the course and successful completion of its assessment requirements. Standard practical courses are Non-accredited with certificate of attendance.

For two standard ten-day courses and a free standard five-day week:

  • Practical training: £3,000 including VAT.
  • With one Level 1 upgrade: £3,400 including VAT.
  • With two Level 1 upgrades: £3,800 including VAT.

You still save £750 on the training in each example. If kitchen fitting is your bonus week, add £75 to these totals.

Use the Level 1 course links above when booking, or speak to YTA early in the first week of the relevant course if you are considering upgrading. Level 1 assessment fees are separate from the training offer and do not count as additional course weeks.

Want the Full Range? Explore the Nine-Week Programme

The 9 Week Ultimate Multi-Skill Course brings together ten days each in plumbing, tiling, plastering and carpentry, plus five days of kitchen fitting. That is 45 training days across all five core trades.

  • Four standard ten-day courses: £6,000.
  • Five-day kitchen fitting course: £825.
  • Usual combined price: £6,825.
  • One bonus-week discount under the offer: £750.
  • Offer total: £6,075 including VAT. Save £750.

With Level 1 upgrades in all four ten-day trades, the total is £7,675 including VAT. This example includes one £750 bonus-week saving, with the £75 kitchen-fitting supplement already included in the totals.

How to Book and Claim Your Free Week

Choose and pay for your own course dates online, then contact YTA to arrange your bonus week.

  1. Choose the paid courses for your programme. For the five-week offer, select four paid weeks: four five-day courses, two ten-day courses, or a combination totalling 20 days.
  2. Select dates on each individual course page. Scroll to the bottom of the relevant five-day or ten-day course page, choose your available date and use Add to Cart. Check every training week so your dates do not overlap.
  3. Pay for your paid courses in full. Review the names, dates and course options in your cart, then complete your booking and payment.
  4. Call or email YTA with your bonus-week request. Tell us which five-day course you want and the date you would like it to start, using the available dates shown on that course page.
  5. Receive confirmation from YTA. Our team checks your booking and availability, manually books the bonus week and confirms the arrangements with you. We also arrange the £75 supplement if you choose kitchen fitting.
